We've been working with FabKids on my blog for over a year now and I can't believe how much my little boys are growing! I'm pretty pleased with our FabKids picks this month and they have already received a LOT of wear around our house. Well ok, besides the too-hot-for-summer long sleeved shirt that Asher insisted on, because: sharks, duh. These adorable little color blocked shorts that Asher is wearing actually made an appearance on Roman in my very first FabKids post and they are still one of my faves from their site. The green cargo shorts fit my super-hard-to-fit Roman and they are perfect for a little boy who loves to collect rocks and treasures on summer hikes.

it's almost july and i'm finally trying to get back to blogging! ( knock on wood... ) i wanted to start off by sharing these misty magical mountain photos. we started off the summer by renting a house in colorado springs for a week and staying with a bunch of family. i pretty much slept the entire time, no joke, i napped and slept a LOT. i think that my body was just utterly exhausted from this year in general that once i actually took a break, i basically passed out. it was lovely.

some of us drove up to pike's peak one day which is where i took these photos. the drive was absolutely terrifying but i'm glad i made it to the top. the clouds were the best part to me. becoming a part of the sky... such an absolutely wonderful freeing feeling.

Oh my goodness, May has come and gone and I've basically spent most of it away from my real camera. It's been a nice break but I miss blogging! I also need to take my Mac in to be fixed so maybe after that I'll be able to finally get some of my creativity out and onto my blog! I did pick up my camera the other day for one of the first times this summer and I seriously just couldn't put it down! I took pictures of Asher that morning in his room ( see above ) and then we went to the park and found an amazing field of dandelions ( my DREAM ) and then I took more pictures of Asher is some shirts for a company we are working with this summer.  Now I'm experiencing that high once again of uploading photos to my Lightroom catalog and swooning as they appear...

well i prepared this post of random photos from this past winter and then it snowed over the weekend, because you know in colorado it snows in may and crazy stuff like that... but hopefully winter has bid us our last farewell by now! just looking at these photos makes me crave sunshine and lemon water and tank tops but these photos have been sitting on my computer for months and i wanted to share them with you all and say an official good ridence goodbye to winter!

These pictures of Roman absolutely light up my heart. My seven year old, my "sweetest boy", my "star". I love this boy tremendously. I love when we stay up late to watch Cupcake Wars together. I love when he writes me a million little notes with "xoxo" at the end. That's it for today; I hope these photos bring a smile to your face as well.

FabKids // march pick.

     I'm finally getting around to sharing Asher's FabKids outfit from March! For those of you who aren't familiar with FabKids, they are a subscription clothing company for kids that comes out with new outfits each month to choose from! Here are my 3 favorite things about FabKids right now:

1. All of their clothing is super unique and they actually have boys clothes that are cute, colorful and fun! A huge pet peeve of mine is trying to find clothes for my boys that I like. For some reason our culture likes to offer a million adorable things for girls but the little boys section hardly looks much different than the men's section. Boys need cute stuff too!

2. I love that FabKids offers the same outfits in sizes 2-12 so I can find matching things for my boys! Am I the only mom who loves this? For example this "Mr. Cool" shirt is one of Roman's favorites that we got for him back in September and now Asher has it as well! In other stores, Roman is in the boys section and Asher is still in toddler boys so I can't find matching things for them.

3. I love that FabKids comes out with new items each month but that they still recycle some of their old styles. Now that we've been working with FabKids for almost a year (Eek!) my boys are getting bigger and I'm excited to reorder a few of my favorites in the next size up!
