to my almost one year old.

to my almost one year old:

oh asher, 

your big open mouthed kisses, your curly wispy blond hair, your ever-willing smile, your wiggling and giggling on the bed, the way you tip your head back and do your ridiculous old man chuckle, the way you sing with me, the way you great each morning with hugs and kisses and cuddles.

our anniversary.

this year for our wedding anniversary we went to brown county, indiana to celebrate 12 years of knowing each other, 6 years of marriage and 2 wonderful little boys. this was back in march and since we are getting ready to head out to brown county again this weekend for a family vacation with aaron's family, i thought i'd finally share some of these photos :)

our cabin was amazing and was my dream home. tiny and perfect. it was a warm spring this year so the weather was lovely. i brought along my new camera and went a little photo crazy. by the end of the trip i was wearing myself out with the picture taking!

such a warm, warm day this was, with lots of nice treasures outside; a hummingbird outside the laundry room door, lots of white butterflies dancing around the neighbor's garden, pink and purple beauty all around. roman wanted to go outside to make a "mud puddle". so while he played with the hose, i followed little ashey around as he luaghed with his brother, walked along the path and played on the cellar with the flowers. a flower among flowers he is, with his delicate baby fingers and toes and wispy yellow hair. oh summer days with little ones are SO good.

swings.

we went camping for the first time this summer, and these swings were right by the campsite. asher had so much fun  and was of course wiggling all around, putting his feet in and out of the leg holes and trying to stand. he absolutely loved when roman pushed him and was giggling with delight! to my sadness, roman is going through a stage of not loving the camera! ten months olds however, are always up for a photoshoot:)
