in honor of earth day, i wanted to share some photos of my boys playing in the pine trees from a few weeks back. they went through a little phase of climbing around in these trees in front of the condos where we live. asher was determined to climb up high just like his brother and absolutely nothing would stop him. it was slightly terrifying but he got up there as well and was so proud of himself looking into the sky as he exclaimed, "i diiiid it!"

these photos make this scene seem super foresty and wonderful. in reality this is right between the parking lot and the road. and that's one thing i love about photography - you can take a mundane situation and make it beautiful. ;)

happy earth day!

ReplyDeleteThanks, Sarah! :)
DeletePerfection! Happy Earth Day! I feel the same way about pictures in my backyard, they look so full of forest and not so much in reality.
ReplyDeletePhotography has a funny was of playing tricks like that! Like when I photograph my children in the ONE clean spot in the house while the rest is a huge mess... haha. :)
DeleteYay! Love these photos! Reminds me of my backyard back in Alaska
ReplyDeleteThanks, Anne! And I'm jealous that you've lived in Alaska!

DeleteGorgeous photos! Little boys are so adventurous :) I come from a family of girls and my little guy is certainly teaching me the art of exploring the outdoors!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Colleen! I also come from a family of girls and I agree that having little boys has been so eye opening for me in many ways!
DeleteLOVE these photos and tree climbing really is the best ;)
ReplyDeleteThanks! I agree, we could all spend a little more time climbing trees, right??
DeleteThese are great photos Gillian. I wish my little girl was that adventurous, can't even get her to go on the slide! ha!
ReplyDeleteThanks! My boys are wild and adventurous as can be, maybe it's a gender thing! I imagine having little girls would be a little calmer and quieter for sure!!
DeleteHappy Earth day! What a fun post for today!
